Movers in South Pasadena, CA

Parking, overnight permits and sweeping days

Any vehicle left on a South Pasadena street for more than 30 minutes between 2:00 and 6:00 a.m. needs an overnight permit, sold online or at the Police Department on Mission Street in 1-, 2- or 3-day increments. In August 2026 the City Council passed Ordinance 2420 on first reading; it would drop the 30-minute grace period and allow permits of up to seven days, but a second reading was still pending. Streets are swept every other week by the city's contractor, Athens Services, and cars must be off the curb before the sweepers arrive, so we avoid a curbside load on your block's sweeping day. Fair Oaks Avenue is a major north-south road here, with an SR-110 junction in town and junctions with I-210 and SR-134 farther north in Pasadena.

One way south to I-10 runs through Alhambra, where the city's Fremont Avenue interchange project notes that at peak hours, traffic exiting at the short Fremont ramps backs up onto the freeway.
